Habits are formed to meet a perceived need embedded in the subconscious. You may not even notice you have developed a habit until you have done it or someone else mentions it. It is therefore not surprising that attempts to overcome the habit using conscious will-power alone rarely succeeds. So how can habits be changed?
Essentially a habit is a behaviour so hypnosis firstly helps you understand the subconscious need causing the habit and secondly, hypnosis installs a more appropriate behaviour that still meets that need whilst leaving the old habit behind.
